The wood of long dead trees gives testimony to their lives. Hints of rain and wind, nesting birds and small animals remain in their fallen branches.
Cut short and turned into boards, trees house our futures, keeping their stories private.
Our hopes and dreams are recorded in that wood. Abandoned now, weathered shelters keep our stories. Quiet conversations over morning coffee, the rattle of children and dogs, disappointments and sorrows, joyful days—all are embedded into the grain of their wood.
Weathered wood speaks to us in silence. Come, listen; what stories will you hear?
