Artist Statement
I was born and raised in Burien, Washington. I had always been interested in photography but really caught the photo bug in 2011 shortly after losing my husband. I needed a distraction and bought my first DSLR camera. I was hooked immediately!
I remarried in 2016. A work opportunity for him brought us to Yakima in 2019, allowing me to retire from my 18 year City of Tukwila job. I’m in love with the very distinct four seasons here and always say that my favorite season is the transition between them. I’m an avid hiker and the landscape makes for some challenging hikes and beautiful photos!
